Multilingual Collection: Books, videos and newspapers in many different languages. We offer electronic access to a large selection of international newspapers.
ESL. Find books and services to learn English. Visit the Learning Centre, located on the 4th floor of Central Library.
LINC Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada. A tutor based program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. This is located in the Learning Centre.
Services, programs and resources for newcomers. Find information on getting settled, learning English, locating employment and becoming a Canadian citizen.
For newcomer families. HPL is family-friendly! We offer a large selection of reading and family entertainment possibilities, from dual-language storybooks to multicultural story time programs.
